  • Technical and Research papers will be put to a review and authors will be notified of the status.
  • Papers which are submitted as Research Papers, but which are not judged to be of this top rating standard or relevance, may still be accepted as Technical Papers.
  • If requested, authors may need to revise their paper addressing the reservations of the reviewers while submitting in a final version of the paper.
  • Proposals must be original and report on recent significant and substantive achievements. Topics may address any mode of transport.
  • Paper submissions that are an abstract only or do not meet the minimum requirements will be rejected without review.
  • The official Congress language is English. Papers not submitted in English will automatically be rejected.
  • All papers must be submitted using the official paper template, available on the platform.

Slots for session proposals are limited, therefore the following constraints will apply:

  • Bids will not be considered unless they give the complete contact details of the organizer, moderator and at least 3 CONFIRMED speakers.
  • The ITS Congresses aim for gender balanced representation among panellists, so Programme Committees will take note of the mix of moderators/speakers in proposals when they make their selections.
  • By submitting session proposal, you or the identified organizer are committing to organize the session content and participants (if accepted).
  • To avoid last minute sessions cancellation and speakers drop out, if the majority of speakers named in the session proposal are not registered by the speaker registration deadline, the Congress Organisers reserve the right to give the slot to another candidate session from the reserve list.
  • Session proposals that address a single project will be given low priority compared to those that tackle a broad area.
  • The International Programme Committee reserves the right to combine sessions on similar topics and review the speakers line-up for the resulting session.
